Sourcing

Claims about what an ingredient does are sourced to peer-reviewed human research where it exists. Where the evidence is animal-only, in vitro, or limited to a single small trial, we say so in the body of the review rather than in a footnote.

Ratings

Ratings are built from the criteria listed on our about page: clinical versus label dose, ingredient form, blend transparency, third-party testing, and whether the claimed mechanism matches the evidence. Price is considered separately and never rescues a product that fails on dosing.

Commercial relationships

Some links on this site are affiliate links. No brand pays for placement, a rating, a ranking position, or favorable language, and no brand reviews our copy before it publishes. If a commercial relationship exists with a product we cover, the affiliate disclosure applies and the review says so.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected in place, with the correction and its date noted at the bottom of the page. Substantive rewrites bump the "Updated" date in the byline. Send corrections through the contact page.

Independence from the products we sell

Wellness Desk is owned by Shane and Max Company, which also owns the JOYMODE brand. Some products reviewed here are products we sell. That is a real conflict of interest and we handle it in three ways: the ownership is disclosed at the top of any review that covers a JOYMODE product; our own products are scored against the same published criteria as everyone else's, including on dosing and blend transparency; and readers should assume any prominent product link on this site is monetized and read the review accordingly.

We do not claim to be a neutral third party about our own products. We claim to be explicit about which products are ours.

Medical review

Wellness Desk content is written by researchers and editors, not clinicians, and is not reviewed for medical accuracy by a licensed physician unless a specific page says otherwise. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
