Force Factor Total Beets Review
The most affordable and most widely available option in the category — and the flagship powder is missing the amino acids that would make it a performance product.

Reviewed
Force Factor Total Beets
Genuinely good value as a daily cardiovascular product, sold in supermarkets at under a dollar a serving. Check the format — the tablets contain citrulline and the flagship powder does not.

The genuine advantages
Price. Under a dollar a serving is the lowest of any branded product in our review, and it is not achieved by underdosing the beetroot.
Availability. GNC, Walmart, Target, Sam's Club. You can buy it today without ordering anything, which matters more for adherence than the category admits — a supplement you can pick up with groceries is one you are more likely to keep taking.
The nitrate pathway is real. Beetroot and NO3-T® betaine nitrate feed the nitrate–nitrite–nitric oxide route, which is genuinely independent of the arginine pathway. Dietary nitrate has reproducible small blood-pressure reductions in human trials. This is one of the better-supported mechanisms in the whole category.
MegaNatural®-BP grapeseed extract has its own small blood-pressure literature.
The format trap
This is the most important thing on the page, and it is easy to miss.
The tablets contain L-citrulline and L-ornithine. The powder — the flagship product — does not.
That single difference changes what you are buying. With citrulline, you have both nitric oxide pathways covered. Without it, you have a beetroot and nitrate product, which is a cardiovascular wellness drink rather than a performance supplement.
Same brand, same product name, materially different formula. Read the panel on the specific format in your hand, not the reviews of "Total Beets" generally.
What it is not built for
Sexual performance specificity. There is nothing here aimed at it — no libido ingredient, no standardised botanical, nothing on the desire side. Beetroot supports circulation, and circulation is necessary but not sufficient.
Our review rated it 7.2 / 10, and the score reflects value rather than fit: a good cardiovascular product being considered for a job it was not designed to do.
A same-day effect. Nitrate-driven blood-pressure changes accumulate with consistent daily intake over weeks. Treat it as a daily habit, which is how the trials dosed it.
Beetroot, honestly
Beetroot is having a long moment and mostly deserves it. The nitrate content is real, the mechanism is well characterised, and the blood-pressure effects replicate.
Two caveats worth knowing:
Nitrate content varies enormously between beetroot products depending on the source and processing, and most labels state milligrams of beetroot powder rather than milligrams of nitrate — which is the part that does the work. A product declaring its nitrate content is telling you something; one declaring only beetroot weight is not. The general version of this problem.
It will turn your urine pink. Harmless, startling the first time.
Safety
Nitrate-based and vasodilating. The nitrate interaction is the one to take seriously — if you take prescription nitrates for angina, or a PDE5 inhibitor, adding a nitrate supplement can drop blood pressure further than intended. Speak to a clinician. More.
Beetroot is also high in oxalate, which is relevant if you have a history of calcium-oxalate kidney stones.
Who should buy it
You should, if you want daily cardiovascular and blood-pressure support, you are price-sensitive, and you value being able to buy it in a shop. On those terms it is the best value in the category.
Buy the tablets rather than the powder if you want the citrulline.
You should not, if the goal is sexual performance, in which case the formula is aimed elsewhere — see our category review or bulk citrulline for the cheaper direct route to the ingredient that matters.
